Survival check... feel free to jump in with your suggestions, Rakeesh. I've already included the +2 from your aid.

Survival 1d20+4 : 15 + 4, total 19

Lotofsnow

Test

Greatsword Attack 1d20+5 : 13 + 5, total 18
Damage 2d6+6 : 4, 4 + 6, total 14

Rakeesh

I think since it was just aid another, Kirdo is confident he could chip in with getting their bearings and such, but it wasn't a crit on an actual survival check and with Dariel there he's fine with more experienced heads charting the course. If anyone is concerned with their carry capacity and such, Hauler is good to go.

Lotofsnow

Yeah. Altogether, 19 doesn't seem too bad for a check with a map. Though I'm used to D&D 5e with bounded accuracy.

Rakeesh

Not to mention the first piece would have to be nearest Kassen anyway.

TheTick

Yeah, these are not hard - I think you'd have to blindfold and deafen the ranger to not pass the check.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Rakeesh

What's the scale on that, Tick? Would the other pieces fall under knowledge local, geography, or survival?

Rakeesh

Is there anything else we need to do before heading out?

Lotofsnow

TheTick

There's honestly not a scale on it, but it's about 40 miles to the crypt.  I'll reveal more map as you get to it.

I'm mostly hand-waving the travel time, unless someone actually fails one of the survival checks to follow the trail/map.

Assuming I'm posting the next bit soon, barring someone needing something else.

I can't believe I forgot to put ranks in Knowledge checks... Don't suppose I can fix that, can I? I'd take the one I put in Ride (which seems useless) and likely add it to Knowledge Nature.

ETA: Wow... with rolls like that this should be a train wreck... :P

Rakeesh

If memory serves, Ride can become very useful if you're going to be in for mounted combat of any sort. But since this is a crypt situation, smart meta money is on it not being the most useful. Smart money is also on Tick being cool with it but time will tell;)

TheTick

Yeah, no worries at this early stage.
