Elyin is visibly relieved.  "I believe he used his Gnomish magics to project his voice, but the bees came from the north."

Felicity's Investigation: ShowHide
Elyin accompanies you into the forest, and within 15 feet of the forest edge you spot some disturbed vegetation just behind a tree.  After you point it out to him, Elyin nods.  "Aye, he knelt here and watched us.  Good eyes.  But I don't see any footsteps away."

Anyone who was searching can go with Elyin and Felicity and hear all of that.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

"Friends come closer, and I shall tend to your wounds.

Felix channels a healing energy.

Quote"Aye, he knelt here and watched us.  Good eyes.  But I don't see any footsteps away."

"Gnomes have light steps, but to confound both of us seems unlikely.  I must assume the creature is capable of flight.  Or some other magics to conceal his direction."  The ranger kicks a tree branch in frustration.

Felicity collects herself and then turns to Elyn.

"Brother...  I am truly sorry that this misfortune has beset your wedding day.  If this foul gnome cannot be pursued, we should see to Kailah and the other guests.  And perhaps someone knows where he lives."

Elyin sighs.  "You are right, of course. We should gather everyone...what is that?"

From the forest an unnatural mist seeps forth, slowly enveloping Bellis and the grove within an eerie, silent wall, cloaking the stunned crowd and obscuring everything beyond twenty feet.  Elyin places his hand on Felicity's should.  "Quickly, let's gather everyone together and get back to town before anyone gets lost."

The mayor's voice pierces the fog.  "Please everyone, to me!  Gather your family to you, no one walks alone!  We will return safely to town and the elders and I will determine our next course of action."  His words help quell the rising panic in the crowd.

Al lags to the back utilizing Eyes of the Storm to make sure nothing is emerging as everyone moves off to safety. Gripping her spear tightly. To see her would make one wonder if she was more beast than elf the way she is staring deep in to the fog like a predator

At the mayor's command for everyone to move closer, he unclasps the sash around his waist. Holding the clasp aloft, it begins to glow brightly.

Anyone lost in the mist, make haste to my light!

In addition, he scans the fog for signs of anyone who may have lost their way.

Felix heads for the glowing light to reunite with the other guests.  As he does so, he cries out, "Did I not say a foul day was upon us!?  I have seen.  First, the bees!  As I had predicted!  Next. . . Slugs!"

He searches the crowd for stragglers.

The mayor establishes a post at the bridge leading back into Bellis, and ensures no one is left behind.  After everyone is accounted for, the Mayor gathers Elyin and the town council.  After conferring for a moment, Elyin approaches you each in turn.  "The mayor and the council wanted me to extend their thanks to you for stepping in back there.  I shudder to think who might've been hurt.  I've also been asked to have you accompany me to the town hall while the council discusses the threats Tenzekil made.  There's a place to clean up, hot tea and some food if you are hungry."

Al waits keeping an eye out till everyone is across the bridge and makes her way to the council, where she sees her father loading the casks from the wedding party back on to a wagon.
Great work dad, don't waste the product. Thanks a bunch for the help., she mumble s as she drags herself into the council chambers. Today has not been the best and the food laid out is in serious trouble.

Felix nods, "I will come with you.  My visions may be of use in this perilous time."

After some time, during which you can hear concerned voices in the council room, Elyin slips out the door to greet you all.  "Thank the gods you were here to help us. Tenzekil Braybittle has always had an unpredictable nature about him, but none of us saw this coming. You've done so much already, but the council has asked for your help investigating this mist and the threats he made. The people are frightened, and I fear for their safety. Will you help us stop whatever he's planned?"

Bashir adjusts his sword, loosening it in the golden sash wrapped around his waist. His eyes are intense when he speaks to Elyin:

"This gnome, where does he live? What other powers does he have over the natural world?"

Phil

Her wounds mended, and back in her armor, Felicity awaits the answer to Bashir's question.  She isn't as familiar with Bellis as her brother, and does not know this gnome.

I figure Felicity's participation is a given, Elyn need not even ask.

"Tenzekil had place just outside of the town proper, where he kept his bees.  But he abandoned it, let's see, two years ago by my reckoning.  He didn't take losing to me well at the honey harvest festival."  Elyin looked sheepish at that. "We'd all thought he'd left town for good, maybe to establish his bees someplace new.  As for his 'powers over nature', he'd perhaps had more than the usual Gnomish knack with magics, but never anything like this."
