Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Lotofsnow

That's pretty rough. Here's hoping our cleric will be willing to cast some lesser restorations.

Just take -1 to my AC, attacks, and damage. I'll update my stats if it remains permanent.

QuoteFelicity, Felix, would the tent be of use?

I'm feeling a bit slow today, but what is he asking if the tent be of use for?  Hiding people from the bees or some strategy for dealing with them?

Like, could we have everyone get under the tent and then take the posts down so that the roof of the tent shields them?  It might work, but honestly the remaining townsfolk are probably better off just running to some other dwelling in the town.

I just want to wait to understand the context of the question before answering.  I wouldn't hold up the game for Felicity's action though.  If there's some way to use the tent effectively she will.  Otherwise she's probably just going to go get her bow from one of the rangers.  I'll post something to that effect later tonight I think.

Note:  Me and my friends have been chased by a large swarm of yellowjacket hornets before when we were kids.  So this is perhaps the most real-life applicable game situation I've encountered :).  Running away isn't a bad strategy, especially if the bees would have to diffuse to chase more than one person effectively.

That's in general how Elyin is thinking of using the tent canvas.  Just having him throw that out there as creative solutions will be rewarded. :)

The village proper is a few hundred feet away at this point - that's a good bit of distance to cover while under attack, but trying to keep the swarms' attention may help.

A cleric on fire would make a great distraction.

*whistles innocently*

"Flaming Clerics" is the name of my next band.

Well i guess Al and Felix are playing distraction so we'll handle the bees. I'll throw em back with my hurricane.
Felix light up While I'm doing that and stay by the tents to keep them at bay.
I'll consider my next action based on the result of perception and the blast.
I've got healing as well so I should be good to play arnie "get to the choppaaaaa" at the moment.
That would be a kickass band name @_@

BigbyMichael

Felicity break for your bow while Felix and Al work the distraction

Do I just roll a d6 with my modifier to cast Firebolt?

It's 1d20 plus your ranged attack modifier (5), and the damage would be 1d6+3.

im able to use that perception as a minor action and start casting at the same time right?

TheTick

It's a move action to actively use Perception like that, which will be fine combined with using your standard for the spell.
