I might have time to throw it into Hero Lab during the day today.

Yeah, I looked at those but nothing seems workable.  She doesn't qualify for Arcane Training, and that just leaves Jungle Affinity and Water Child.  Neither of those seems to fit very well.  It's not the end of the world.  And maybe one of these new Hybrid Classes has good options for a dip.  They weren't in the SRD last time I built a character, so I assume they're fairly new?

Yeah, hybrid classes were released within the last year. My character has 5 levels of Slayer, which is a hybrid Rogue/Fighter class.

Lotofsnow

Actually, just thinking on it, I dropped my one level dip in Alchemist and grabbed another level of Slayer due to gain a 2nd attack. Might dip Alchemist next level for fun.

BigbyMichael

taking the same strategy. want to reach 8th druid first for the wild shape bump

TheTick

I hadn't actually checked out those hybrid classes until now - pretty interesting.

Oh, hey, as an additional perk, level 6 slayer gets a talent. Guess I'll grab "Trapfinding" to make me a trapsniffing machine.

Lotofsnow

SR, I put your sheet in Hero Lab. I adjusted your scores to conform to 25 point buy. That means your wisdom caps out at 21, but you are now a bit tougher hit point-wise.

I bought the mundane gear on your sheet, but I didn't grab the weapons/armor you indicated. We have 23,500 gp to spend at 7th level, so I figured you'd probably want to grab some magic stuff. That is, unless you took a vow of poverty and gave me all of your gold. If that's the case, then I'll happily spend it.

You rock.

I'll probably post up some preliminary stuff to kick things off tomorrow.

I played around with some simple simulation code, looking at the various math based feats (Point Blank Shot, Weapon Focus, Rapid Shot, Many Shot, Deadly Aim) at different ACs.  Out of these, unless the AC is truly terrible, Deadly Aim is the clear under-performer.  I was surprised by this, since the pathfinder archer guides all seem to talk about it very favorably.

I suppose the mitigating factor is that you can use it on an attack that isn't a full-round action.  But its still a small bonus on average, so I may drop it.

Also it looks like a +1 bow with an energy enhancement (flaming/frost/shocking/corrosive) outperforms a straight +2 mod even with reasonably high ACs.

SteveRogers

That's a-okay.  :)  I just appreciate your help.

Edit:  Thanks, lotsofsnow.  It looks great to me.

i got totally nerfed by the 25 point by despite having natural rolls

Yeah, I had to drop points, too.

Phil

Honestly, I've always found 25pt buys to be pretty generous.   In games where I roll significantly better than that, I sort of feel awkward about it.

BigbyMichael

I rolled pretty damn well naturally but when i put it into the generator registered it as almost a 40 point buy
