Owen considers trying to attack in such a way to not do lasting harm to the spider, but his ally being in trouble changes his mind.  Stupid dwarf.

He tries to strike the spider in the head, but from this strange angle is not able to do so successfully.

Having missed the spider, Owen moves to the other side of S'Vith to give others room to join the fight.

Will eat the OA.

Faraway jumps up and attempts to hack the webbing restriction S'Vith's movement.

Owen puts his head down and tries to get past the spider, but it reacts to the movement and bites him. (-1hp, Fort Save please)  At the same time, Faraway manages to hack away the webs enough that S'Vith can move freely.  Horcrust begins the summoning process.

S'Vith is up, and Jeddy if he thinks of something he wants to try.

Finally looking up and seeing the spider almost directly above him, Jeddy takes aim and fires.

1d20+4 : 6+4 = 10 total.

Owen feels the jab of the spider fang and at first thinks nothing of it.  But soon he starts feeling weak and queasy, and his greatsword gets a bit heavier in his hands. (-1 STR damage)

The giant spider dodges the grapple attempt (and other attacks), but fails to bite S'Vith.
