Faraway retrieves the wand of cure light wounds from the leather scroll case at his hip.

"Does anyone require healing?"

The druid holds the wand aloft for a moment. The tip shines with a bright blue light momentarily. The light travels down the length of the wand into the druid's hand. Farway places his hand on his forehead, and he seems to shiver with a brief chill.

"I do not appear to have been wounded."  Owen replies.

The paladin feels pretty good about striking down a couple of the skeletons.  Likewise, fighting creatures who are already dead carries no moral burden to detract from the thrill of combat.  Sarenrae would surely be pleased.

He has to remind himself that necromancy is the darkest of arts, and that there are much more deadly types of undead that they may yet face in the caves.

"I am fine"

Horcrust burns the bones as an added measure.

TheTick

(Just want to know if S'Vith wants the healing or not.  Not feeling great, but will definitely get the next room started tonight, assuming everyone is still following the trail.)
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Porteiro

"I am unharmed."  Jeddy says simply, keeping his doubts to himself.

TheTick

The skeletons in the large cavern have no gear to speak of, so after a moment's respite, the group moves along the trail they were following to the western tunnel.  It's very narrow, and at places you have to squeeze through, but it opens into a smaller cavern.  The drag marks lead to a chest - a beautiful cherry wood and jade chest.  Sitting on top of it is a skeleton.  This skeleton has armor, though broken in places, and it clutches a gleaming sword.  It levels the tip of the sword square at Owen.

"Protecting this treasure is my sacred duty, and you will not have it!"

OOC: How many HD does it have?

Porteiro

[1d20]18 + 4 = 22

Jeddy asks the skeleton "How long have you guarding it?"

SpamHead

OOC: If we are using Cha skills (especially Bluff or Intimidate) I'll want to make the check.

TheTick

The skeleton's voice booms forth, "YOU will not speak to me, you are unworthy of one such as me.  My task has followed me from life to un-life, and I will not shirk from it now."

Porteiro

"Really?  Tell me more about that.  Why did you first start on this task?"

(I don't know if this is allowed, but I'd like to do a Diplomacy check here ([1d20]8 + 9 = 17), and hold my standard action (Cause Fear) if he attacks anybody.)

TheTick

The skeleton answers Jeddy by stepping forward and delivering a wicked slash to Owen, sending the Paladin reeling. (-7hp) It also shrugs off Jeddy's fear effect. (Immune)
