Seeing Gutwad held by S'vith, Horcrust proceeds to blast Gutwad again.

Jeddy aims his crossbow at the quivering goblin, but still cannot hit it.

1d20 + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8

Gutwad barely notices the shot as it thuds into the wall.  He tries to escape S'Vith's grip but fails miserably.

Everybody, you are up.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

While the goblin struggles against the monk's iron grip, Faraway again stabs at it with his spear.

S'Vith tightens his grip on the goblin and places a knee in the small of its back.  With slight pressure, he begins attempting to damage the goblin's spine.

The spear jabs Gutwad and he writhes, but S'Vith's knee strike hits it's mark, and there is a terrible craaaaack sound.  The goblin's arms flail for a moment, and then he goes still and limp in the Monk's grip.

Lotofsnow

Faraway stabs the creature once more to be sure. Satisfied, he nods at S'Vith.

Well done here. Your risk rewarded us all.

SteveRogers

S'Vith yawns and stretches his arms.  Nudging the goblin's fresh corpse with one foot, he sighs, "Don't ever get in between a hungry dwarf and the possible promise of food."  He looks around the small shanty cabin.  "Now what?"

Allow me to set the scene.

Gutwad's 'throne room' is just what you expect from a goblin.  The walls are decorated with poorly preserved horse and dog heads, with other trophies like broken weapons, brine-pickled bodies of slaughtered furry animals and other bits of grisly ephemera.  There is a chair at the back, 5 feet tall with a rickety ladder leading to the seat.  There are doors leading to other rooms as you can see on the previous maps.

SteveRogers

As his stomach rumbles, "Merciful gods, let one of these other rooms be a pantry. Yet I am wary of opening the doors for fear of even more goblins in hiding.  The cretins!"

Lotofsnow

I think you can rest assured, S'Vith. The noise of our attacks would have likely roused the curiosity of any other inhabitants. More likely these doors contain the collected goods lifted from the merchant caravans these savages plundered.

SteveRogers

"If they plundered cheese, then this dwarf will be pleased."  Turning to his companions, "What say you Owen?  Jeddy?  Horcrust?  Shall we search these adjacent chambers?"

Lotofsnow

While waiting for the fury of battle to subside from his allies, Faraway begins to pick through Gutwad's belongings to determine if the goblin leader had anything worth sparing the spatters of blood likely to follow his beheading.

TheTick

Gutwad carried:

(Small) Masterwork Composite Longbow
(Small) Spear
(Small) Masterwork Chain Shirt
5 x +1 Animal Bane arrows
2 x Potions of Cure Light Wounds
32 gold pieces

On the floor next to the teeter chair:
2 x Skyrocket Fireworks (the kind you found earlier in the other shack)
32 gold pieces

OOC: I assume Gutwad had all the magic items, if not detect magic!

"If he had any other treasure, I intent to find it."
