Chapter One, Part One: Fires over Brinestump

I'm assuming that's your Elemental Ray attack again?

TheTick

Need S'Vith's action (you can reach either of the goblins on the ground without passing any threatened squares).  I have Owen's, and another next round starts with Faraway again (and hey, if your Roc is around, go for it).

S'Vith turns to the goblin closest to Owen and stomps a foot shortly before rushing out with arms open to attack the goblin.

Seeing that Owen and S'Vith have one goblin occupied, Faraway shouts a meaningless word. Meaningless to the humanoids, that is. For the sun in momentarily blotted out before a massive bird plummets from the sky and sinks its claws into the goblin standing at the doorway.

While the bird is on its way, the druid focuses his attention on the goblin lying on the ground before him. With a bestial snarl, he slashes at the creature.

Horcrust's fiery ray badly burns the goblin in the doorway, who starts banging the wood tube on the door frame, trying to get the next shot to come early.  (-5hp) S'Vith easily grasps the goblin near to he and Owen, and the Paladin's greatsword just misses splitting the cackling enemy in two.  Everyone is surprised when Neith swoops in and rips the goblin shooting the fireworks to messy shreds. (Goblin 1 DEAD)  Faraway's scimitar makes similar short work of the last goblin.  (Goblin 3 DEAD)

The goblin in S'vith's grasp looks back and forth from Owen to Faraway to Jeddy to S'vith and seems to come to a conclusion.  He yells out two of the few words of the common tongue all goblins know.  "Longshanks!  Food!"  Like prarie dogs, heads start to appear in windows and doors around the encampment, and soon more goblins appear, dogslicers (and a few more of those fireworks tubes) at the ready.

Jeddy is up.  Goblin 7 has already moved (was behind his companions).

Have fun. :)

"We don't want 'em to gang up on us too much," Jeddy says as way of explanation to the group.

OOC:  Move west 3 squares, then case Obscuring Mist

OOC : Ops I actually wanted to hit the prone goblin (I rolled a 19 so I assume I still hit) but it is kind of late to change that
Horcrust dives for cover behind H4 in order to avoid being hit by the goblins in the streets and still be able to snipe at 4,5 and 2.

TheTick

I think the damage in both cases was 1d6, so not much functionally different.

Update later still.

Jeddy's mist covers the open area between the buildings, blocking the view of the hungry goblins.  The goblin being held by S'Vith struggles and kicks, but cannot break the monk's sure grip.  (Grapple check failed)  You can hear the sounds of a few other goblins moving, but can't see more than a few feet in front of you.  Horcrust ducks down next to one of the goblin shacks, but is still within the mist.

S'vith and Owen, actions please.  Since you can't see the goblins other than the adjacent one, I've hidden them on the map - you can refer to the previous one for where they were, but as you move forward, those positions get less certain.

If I can do this I will, otherwise I'll only make the first 5-foot step

Horcrust steps to the side and fires down the street he saw goblins 10 and 12 earlier. Then he ducks back behind the building.

TheTick

(you couldn't do both moves, and there's a ways to go before you are up again.  may want to see how things change)

I anything radical changes, such as the mist being dispelled I'll likely do something different.

(the goblins probably do not know where I am with me ducking after the spell.)

Owen squints through the mist, still intending to strike down the goblin in front of him.  This time, he is able to adjust when the creature attempts to dodge.  The sharp blade cuts the goblin clean in two.

Mechanics: ShowHide
20(1d20) +5 = 25; 9(2d6) +6 = 15
Was a natural 20, but since its a little goblin I don't think I need extra damage?  Go ahead and roll the confirm and extra damage if you wish.

The paladin then takes a couple of steps south, to the edge of the mist where the goblins were last seen.

SteveRogers

S'Vith growls in vain at the goblin in his arms, "If you understand the common tongue, hear this.  It would be best for you to call off your friends and parlay with us peacefully."

He roughly tugs on the goblin's body with harmful intent, "Or lest get much worse from MY friends."

This dice roll has been tampered with!

TheTick

The goblin S'Vith has falls limp and moves no more.  (Goblin 2 DEAD)  He drops it and whirls around, but it was Owen moving away from behind him, nearly knocking into the rickety walkway of the village.  He looks up and leaning over top of him is a goblin, straining to see deeper into the mist.  It's an awkward strike, but Owen helps the goblin meet his maker. (Goblin 5 DEAD)  Not one but two more goblins appear out of the mist at the edge of the walkway, and both miss slashing the Paladin with their dogslicers.
