No, you can use a withdraw action to head back to the stairs - as long as you don't run past any other enemies who might get an Attack of Opportunity against you, you can make it (and there aren't any of those around at this point).

The creature that set loose the spider appears ready to charge.

How far away is he?  Is he the only enemy in that room?

Owen is probably going to charge him first, I just want to make sure that's not an (obviously) suicidal tactic.

I fear S'Vith's attempt to flank the spider and his master ultimately proved fruitless.

He's just under 60ft away.  It's the inner courtyard of the castle, so there are other places enemies might come from (the castle itself, for instance) but so far none have done so.

Bah, I don't actually think Owen can charge 60ft.  I had it in my head that he was within charge range.  I guess instead he'll move towards it and ready an attack or something.
