Well, let's assume S'Vith keeps levelling as a Monk rather than multiclassing.  I clearly don't have a strong enough grasp for the various ins and outs to tackle class "dipping."

RE:  Relationship scores

To start, its your charisma mod and then you get some bonus (4?) with the one your trait ties you to?

Lotofsnow

Since Horcrust doesn't seem to want it, I'll take the cloak since I'll be in the thick of it as much as Owen.

TheTick

You may have noticed a new thread - please post your relationship scores with each NPC there for easy reference.  Your base score with each is your CHA bonus/penalty, and the NPC who you took the trait for gets a +4 bonus.  Also, now that you are level 2, you can add 1 to one of the relationships (you get to add 1 at each level you gain).
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

SteveRogers

If I'm looking at this right, I would have -1 for everyone.  Except for Shalelu which would be 3?

TheTick

Yes, plus you can add 1 to one of those now that you are level 2.

Damn.  No one is going to like S'Vith.   :P

Phil

That doesn't seem particularly out of character ;).

Lotofsnow

The caravan stuff is cool. The romance/friendship mechanic, not so much.

TheTick

Don't worry, the adventure path runs to level 18 or so - plenty of time to bump those scores.  There are some plot things which can give boosts, too.

True enough.  The hope would be eventually people would find him to be a lovable rascal though.   :)

Just seems extraordinarily artificial to me. I could be a sorcerer who sneaks around town killing people's dogs and hanging their organs from the neighbor's door frame, but everyone loves me because I maxed Charisma.

If you're sneaking, then no one would know you were the Dog Ripper.

Phil

That sort of thing is kind of built in to the attribute scores even without the relationship mechanic.  To me the biggest oddity is that you can be a huge scary orc, but since your charisma sucks you aren't very good at intimidating people...

They would though because I had to dump Dex to get my Charisma so high. Also, I didn't put skill points in Bluff.

Yep. We actually would allow martial types to use Strength or Con for initimidate checks sometimes in my group if only because it makes sense.
