Actually, it's advantageous to you - if you succeed at another grapple check (which you get a +5 bonus to since you've already got a hold of him) you can choose to strike him with your unarmed strike.

On top of it, it is auto-damage after your maintain. You don't need to roll an attack.

No, there is no reason to. You use your Standard Action to maintain the grapple, which requires a grapple check (with an additional +5 bonus). That replaces your attack roll. If you are successful, you just get the damage automatically.

Yes, you get your +1, but it won't apply to the grapple check.

You roll your CMB (what you rolled to grapple him), but add 5 to it.  Roll your unarmed strike damage with that.  If you beat Gutwad's CMD, you get the damage, no extra attack roll needed.

Ah, that stuff I essentially knew already.  Just didn't know all the fancy jargon to go with it.  On the matter of the "Hatred" trait thing, would that mean I would roll one higher on Flurry of Blows attacks against goblins or orcs?

To be clear, does "Hatred" just add +1 to my Attack rolls against orcs/goblins?  Or does it also add +1 to the damage rolls?

Attack rolls.  At this point anyone who wants to look around can do so.  Whoever wants to take care of removing Gutwad's head (need more than his ear to prove it was him and get the greater reward) should do that.  He might have other useful stuff too...
