I'll hold off on my turn since the two goblins closest to me go before I do. If I were to go, I'd attack 10 and then shift five feet toward 9.

Phil

I'm starting to wish for the ability to do a "reverse power attack".  Where I subtract 3 from my damage to add +2 or whatever to my attack roll.   >:(

Phil

Hey Steve, we seem to be having some difficulty putting these goblins down on this side of the map.  With that in mind, you might want to think about trying out your Flurry of Blows feature.  Since you have two attacks in one round with that feature, you aren't likely to miss with both of them, and any one hit has a good chance of knocking a goblin cold.  I think you'll find grappling more useful on more dangerous enemies than the cannon fodder type gobbos.  These are more dangerous in a swarm than any individual goblin is alone.

I'm just trying to make it over to where the action is.

TheTick

Horcrust and Faraway seem to have enough to handle there, even if one of the goblins broke his dogslicer. :P

I did not include Owen's miss in the write up, but, yeah.

Damn, critical threat for Faraway, but rolled below 20 on my miss chance. Figures.

TheTick

Porter, the one problem with your actions is you can only see 5 feet away in the Obscuring Mist, so once you step away all the goblins have total concealment.  You can cast defensively from your original spot to avoid the attack of opportunity, but that leaves the chance of your spell fizzling.

Since there's no attack roll or anything like that, and since Jeddy knows that the goblin is there (having seen him there just before stepping back), I thought it would be OK.

Yeah, we're going to TPK against a bunch of silly goblins.  Poor Owen, we hardly knew ye.

Phil, Lotofsnow, how would you handle this one?  I figured since the spell's target is a creature, and you can't actually see the creature, it wouldn't work.  At best, I could see a 50/50 chance with regards to the total concealment.

I'd rule he couldn't get the spell off. Total concealment states you can't see the creature, but you can target the square. However, since Cause Fear specifically says it targets a creature, you couldn't cast it in this situation.

"Target or Targets: Some spells have a target or targets. You cast these spells on creatures or objects, as defined by the spell itself. You must be able to see or touch the target, and you must specifically choose that target. You do not have to select your target until you finish casting the spell."
