Owen, for his part, was the only one who seemed to consider non-lethal damage, but dismissed the idea.  Unless you specifically say "I'm dealing non-lethal damage" I'm assuming you are trying to kill stuff.  Especially since I believe Faraway was trying to avoid damaging it entirely.

I'll be purchasing Banded Mail, if we have the coin after this excursion.  Its not expensive, just 250gp I think.

I don't know what these enemies are rolling, but they seem to be hitting my AC more often than I'd like.  Getting +2 more is nothing to sneeze at.
