QuoteFort +5, Ref +4, Will +5; +2 vs. poison, spells, and spell-like abilities

For the fortitude save, do I roll 1d20+7 then?

What does the rest of the stuff in parentheses in TheTick's post mean for me?  It's mostly gibberish to me.

Lotofsnow

(DC12 to burst with a Strength check or Escape Artist check, 2hp with DR 5/--)

You can use your Escape Artist skill or roll 1d20+strength mod check. Alternatively, you can attack it. Roll damage and subtract 5 from it. If you do 2 damage or more you cut out of it.

SteveRogers

I assume any of those options to escape the web will take up my turn?

TheTick

It takes a Standard action, you'd still have a move action.  And you also take a -4 if you personally try to break the webs.

For Str check or the damage? Or both?

TheTick

The caught person takes -4 on the strength check if he goes that route.

I'm heading out to dinner tonight, so anything further on this will be later tonight.  Jeddy can give an action.  I assume everyone followed behind S'Vith.  The spider is on the square above S'Vith, so the person behind the Monk can reach and attack it.  Others could pass through their allies but the spider would get to make an attack of opportunity.  You could also circle around and come in the other entrance, but I'd have to measure how far it is and how long it would take - at least a round to do that probably.

Congrats, TheTick. You made it in the RHoD game.

TheTick

Woot, now not to get killed in the first fight.

Heh.

I'll be sending out the official invites to the game on Wednesday. I'll have some homework for you guys after and hopefully start up this weekend.

Porteiro

Can we all see the spider?

TheTick

The next two behind S'Vith would have a clear view of what happened - normally I'd imagine that to be Faraway and Owen, but if anyone else (Horcrust?) who was more interested in going in there would've followed close behind, let me know now.  The rest of you heard the commotion.

If I can see the spider I'll try to summon up a flank (If I have the spell power left).
