Everyone would at least have a passing knowledge of one another, thanks to the shared connections between your mentor NPCs.  I could see some of the PCs competing with or against one another at festivals, things like that.

For Horcrust, building on that example, those connected with Ameiko probably saw him as a youth during Shalelu's many visits to the Rusty Dragon.  Maybe he ran with a wilder group of kids than Owen would have, but he'd know him.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Added Faraway and Neith descriptions.

Average height, raven hair (this stuff is on my sheet) and hazel eyes. He came to Sandpoint after Shealeu mentioned a job for hunting goblins, he was not exited at first but went to check it out (that is when he actually met everyone else for the first time).

Lotofsnow

It is likely that Horcrust and Faraway have traveled together for some time.

SpamHead

He probably never met anyone else much, he has been all over and comes to the area of Sandpoint only occasionally. And I meant everyone else, he likely never met S'vith or Owen before. Yes he probably knew Faraway but he has always lived alone.

Lotofsnow

Well, you said that Shalelu rescued you from goblins. Possible that Faraway was there. He might even have healed your wounds after!

Owen being a paladin would very, very likely know Faraway since Faraway grew up in the cathedral. Especially being around the same age.

Well that's the thing, not all of the NPC connections are really "mentor" relationships.  Horcrust was saved by Shalelu once, but it sounds like the two are merely acquainted.  Not like how Faraway is her apprentice.

It sounds like Shalelu maybe mentioned the job in passing as they met in the woods or something?

Yep, definitely.  I get the impression that the two think fairly well of eachother from our IC chatting, so it works well.

S'Vith had some prior casual adventuring experience with Faraway, and he is not a fan of Faraway.

S'Vith and Horcrust likely heard of each other but never actually met (Horcrust may have spotted the dwarf in passing as he was hunting or something). Faraway has also probably found the minor shelter Horcrust made for when he goes near Sandpoint.

Owen would have been 13 when the church burned in 4702 (your background says you were 6 in 4701 but your birth year is 4689, I'm assuming birth year is correct). Faraway was 11 and lost his home and the two people he care about in the world. Could be they found comfort in shared grief since Owen's father died in the same year.

Re: S'Vith

Any respect Faraway has for the monk is newfound, begrudging and likely not deserved.  ;)

Phil

Yeah I changed his age a couple of times, so I am not surprised that its got a contradiction in it.

Basically I wanted his age to be very near Ameiko, while still fitting his story into the Late Unpleasantness storyline.

I'll have to review and see where I went wrong and which way to correct it.  The story may change some depending on what I find...   :-\

Cool.  Uh, what year is it now?  I have a feeling Owen is a little older than how I have his age in his sheet.

Phil

Looks like 4711, which depending on his exact birthday and what month we're in, makes him 21 or 22.

Not too bad, will go with that.

Lotofsnow

Makes sense. I have Faraway's age at 19-20.
