Let's go fight the spider.  I say that for poops and giggles mostly.   ;)

I wonder if the glowing crystal is magic? Hm....

Porteiro

If it's not magic, what could it be?  Electric?

TheTick

There are things in caves in real life that glow on their own without being magic.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

SpamHead

Next question. Is it worth money?

Phil

I wrote a small vignette for the fluff of Owen's leveling up.  It takes place the next dawn that we're back in Sandpoint.  Nothing special or anything, I just wanted an in-game development where all of a sudden he can heal with his hands when he couldn't before.

Just wanted to mention it, so that we pause at that point long enough for me to slip it in.

TheTick

Sounds great, man, I will definitely give everyone a chance to do something like that if they want.  Not required, though.

I'm in my face to face game tonight (more Marvel Heroic RPG, woohoo!), so I won't be posting. Consider Faraway using the Aid Another action to give Owen a +2 bonus to attacks.

SpamHead

I don't get anything at 2nd level but at 3rd suddenly he can hold live coals and be unharmed[resist fire 10] (I would love a campfire scene about that).

TheTick

Have fun!  I may not be very available tonight either, as my wife won't be home so it's solo dad making sure all three kids get homework done/get fed/showered/bed.

What do you guys think of everyone putting their back-stories in the character sheet thread?  Plus maybe a description of their PCs...

I ask because I am finding myself not having a good mental picture of some of the characters.  Mostly I think it is Horcrust whom I just have no concept of beyond being a sorcerer and some personality traits he's displayed.   I want to know where he's from, what he looks like, how Owen may have met him, etc.

There's probably be a post with his backstory in the build thread, but it'd be great if they were all somewhere I could go back and reference.

(I also would be interested in collaborating on a story of how we all decided to start working together, even if its brief and simple.)

Phil

It appears Faraway and Owen are both around the same age and both grew up in Sandpoint.  So that's easy enough, they've probably known each-other for years.  Their IC interactions have been pretty familiar, so that works well.

Lotofsnow

Mine is there. It has references to Rise of the Runelords for bonus xp! (or not)

Horcrust has lived in the forest as long as he can remember. He forages for food, when he can't do that he hunts and when he can't do that either people in the area start noticing food missing. He still thinks he owes Shealeu one for the time he got his bacon saved from a bunch of goblins. He has always been agile and tough and uses his magic mainly to get out of sticky situations.

Phil

Cool.  What brought him to Sandpoint?  Did he come with Shalelu or something?

Just wondering why he came to civilization, and why he's helping out the town :).  (Edit:  Is it just for the reward money?)

Also, what does he look like?
