Just need a consensus on whether to continue on to Walthus's house, or follow the footprints. :D

edit: for spelling
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Ah, I was confused. I thought Phil meant "the halfling" as in our halfling. But, reading it again, I think he meant the halfling we're hoping to run into.

Phil

Yeah, sorry that wasn't more clear.

Porteiro

I still am confused about what happened with the die roller.  I wasn't using that die roller, so why did it act like I was when I went back to edit my post?

Phil

I wonder if it keys off certain keywords or a regular expression to detect die rolls.

Also, that's a nice line Porter :).  (about roads)

TheTick

I think that's it - in order to make sure someone doesn't just copy the formatting and 'fake' a die roll, it must check the posts for certain text.  I will have to check later to see if I can tweak that.

Will Spamhead be able to post tonight, by chance?

Yeah, it also does that report when you quote someone who used the actual die roller.  A tad annoying, but easy enough to ignore if you can't fix it.

Testing:  6(1d20)+4 = 10
Test Two:  1d20+6 : 15 + 6, total 21
Test Three:  This dice roll has been tampered with!
Survival 1d20+10 : 7 + 10, total 17

Edit:  It seems it doesn't like when you put a blockquote around what looks like a roll.

Porteiro

I just got in tonight.  Spamhead will be able to post in the morning, I believe.

Porteiro

BTW, I'm doing fine with the default theme here.  Feel free to go back to the light colors you were doing before.

TheTick

SpamHead, if you want to use Diplomacy, go ahead (you need to put the roll brackets around it, you can use the dice icon just above the edit box here), but you may find all you need to do is talk.  A good diplo roll will help, though.

BTW, I've been thinking, and I've decided to switch the trait that gives bluff as a class skill for the one that gives intimidate as a class skill.  Is that OK?

Diplomacy is my worst Cha skill due to it not being a class skill for me but Bluff or Intimidate will work better (especially Intimidate because both goblins and halflings are Small, heck I could even learn a enlarge spell to get that bonus against everyone!)

Lotofsnow

You get a bonus for intimidating creatures smaller than you? That's pretty sweet.

TheTick

Just remember, there's no reason to distrust him or to want to mislead him at this point, as far as you know.  If you are bluffing him, what are you trying to convince him of?

QuoteLarger or Smaller than Target You gain a +4 bonus on Intimidate checks if you are larger than your target, and a –4 penalty on Intimidate checks if you are smaller than your target.

Porter, no issue with that.

My group has used intimidate maybe twice in the 4 or so years I've been playing with them.
