He's got it.  I think you took Improved Grapple with your first monk feat, so you have the rest of those to choose from.

Of those, I think Deflect Arrows and Dodge are the clear winners.   Just IMO.

TheTick

If you guys have any in-character stuff you want to do (using that fancy healing wand as an example) now would be the time.  I won't be able to move you along to the next room until later tonight anyhoo.

I forget. Since Craft Wand requires a 5th level caster, does Cure Light Wounds heal as if cast by a 5th level caster, so 1d8+5? I believe it does, but I just wanted to make sure.

TheTick

It's 1d8+1, as most of the standard treasure/shop-created wands use the caster level of the spell as the caster level of wand creator (I believe casters can choose to do that at wand creation).  Otherwise, there'd be no wands this cheap, as a wand of a level 1 spell made with CL5 would be 750gp x 5 for a full 50 charges.

OK. Glad I checked then. I can't remember the last time me or any of my players actually used a wand. I don't think anyone had one for the entire Rahasia Pathfinder conversion I did.

Phil

Yeah, none of my players have even mentioned the possibilty of using a wand.  Perhaps the healbot NPC in town I've given access to has cut down on the need for one.  Also Cato seems content to use 3 of his level 1 spell slots on heal spells.

Lotofsnow

We used Vigor and Wounds for my game, too, so that could be it. You gain all of your vigor back after a rest, so didn't seem so bad.

Phil

Huh.  I've never seen those rules before.  I think I'd need to walk through a mock combat or two before I come close to comprehending them.  (and deciding if I liked them)

There's a handbook for running RHoD on the Giant in the Playground site, very detailed.  Has some bits about switching it up for Pathfinder.

Saw new posts in this thread and checked it out...there's someone running RHoD in Equestria.  God, I love nerds.

Hey! No reading the RHoD handbook!

TheTick

I read parts of it about converting it quite a while ago, and I skimmed the updates since the last time, but stopped dead when someone started talking about Equestria.  I had thought about running it, once upon a time, but seeing all the quirks in that thread gave me pause as a newish DM.

Yeah, it isn't perfect, but it seems like a lot of fun. I'll probably follow it to the letter until I don't. Good times.

I've got to say, I've been pretty frustrated with Jeddy's almost complete ineffectualness.  Hopefully with new levels this will slowly change.

TheTick

I think you were doing better against the goblins, skeletons are tough for you.  Jeddy'll pick up a fair bit with more phenomenal cosmic power in the next few levels.
