Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Woot!

Though does Mike want us to wait until we clear out this cave (or get back to town, etc) before leveling?

TheTick

Yuuuuup!  You can update your sheets at the next rest period.

Faraway kicks aside  a skull and begins to lay out his bedroll...

TheTick

Oh, PLEASE do. *evil grin, stroking beard*

Actually, I don't get a ton for leveling up. It's Neith that gets a new feat and therefore doubles her to-hit.

Phil

Level 2 is actually the level that's the biggest deal for Owen that I'm likely to see.  Mainly for Lay on Hands four times a day.  That's an average of 10 extra HP per day.
I get a big boost to my saves, mostly through Divine Grace: +4 Fort, +3 Ref, +4 Will
Then +1 attack, and like 7.5 HP.
And +1 damage to my Smite Evil.

Speaking of, how are you planning on doing HP as we level up?

TheTick

I think taking the average (and getting the extra 1hp every other level for the .5s) works best.  No chance of some one rolling a 1 and barely improving.

Phil

Sounds good, and what I was expecting :).

Lotofsnow

Yeah, seems like the best way.

SteveRogers

Alright.  So, how do I do this?

Lotofsnow

Nothing to do yet. Can't level until we rest.

SteveRogers

Well, yeah.  I meant in a more general sense.

Lotofsnow

Yeah, I was messing with you.

Refer to this: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/monk

At level 2, you gain the following: +1 Attack bonus (adds to your CMB, too); +1 Fort, Ref, Will; 7 total hit points

In addition:

Evasion: "At 2nd level or higher, a monk can avoid damage from many area-effect attacks. If a monk makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, he instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if a monk is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless monk does not gain the benefit of evasion."

Bonus feat from the following list: Catch Off-Guard, Combat Reflexes, Deflect Arrows, Dodge, Improved Grapple, Scorpion Style, and Throw Anything.

That's about it.
