Well, it doesn't look like the first attack will be good for anything.  But hopefully the second will be more effective.   8)

Roll 1d20+2 to see if you crit.

SteveRogers

Critical Roll 1d20+2 : 19 + 2, total 21

Is there a limit to how often I can use Flurry of Blows?  Or can I just keep using it repeatedly to smash these goblins?

Lotofsnow

No limit on times per day.

However, it does require a full round action. This means you cannot take a move action and use it. Now, that doesn't mean you can't move. On a turn during which you don't actually move, you can usually take a 5' step as a free action (which is how you were able to move adjacent and still flurry).

The only other limitation is that you can't use, say, a sword to flurry. It has to be unarmed or a "monk weapon" (kama, nunchaku, quarterstaff, sai, shuriken, and siangham).

One thing you can do is exchange one of your flurry attacks for a combat maneuver like trip, disarm or sunder (no grapple).

Lotofsnow

Oh, and one more thing. Nothing actually says you have to use both attacks on the same target. You can spit your attacks among as many targets as you have attacks (you'll gain a 3rd attack at 8th level). In fact, you can even take your 5' step in between 2 of the attacks. So, you start your turn adjacent to Enemy A. Enemy B is 2 squares away from you. You can make your 1st Flurry against A, take a 5' step and make the 2nd against B.

SteveRogers

The more you explain the nuances of this attack, the more badass it makes it sound.   8)

Lotofsnow

Well, it is pretty much the Monk's signature move.

TheTick

In fact, you killed 'em.  You could roll to confirm a critical hit, but the standard damage is enough.

Spamhead, Horcrust's Celestial Dog will appear at the beginning of your next turn.  Are you putting it in the middle of the remaining goblins?
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Lotofsnow

According to the iCrit app, he gave the goblin a "Pimp Slap." Normal damage and dazed for 1d4 rounds.

I could see the goblin ducking out of the way of the first swing. It looks up with a shit eating grin on its face. S'Vith follows up with a stern backhand.

This mental image is absolutely hilarious.

Huh. I thought it was a celestial rat, but it's okay

And yes it is going in the middle, it was intended as a distraction rather than a actual threat.

TheTick

Yeah, it can be a rat.  Derp.  I was reading the stat blocks for the animals and posted that.  Heh.

Just need Jeddy's action...then it's my turn again.  Mwahaha.

Let the goblins attack! I can roast them with acid or fire without using spells/day!
