How does the XP thing work?

You currently have 575xp. Once you have 2000, you level up.

And then I update my character sheet with any relevant changes?  I haven't leveled up a character before.

Yep. So, for a Monk:

You roll 1d8 + Con modifier and add it to your max hit points. This is your new maximum.

You gain 4 + Int modifier ranks in skills, not to exceed your level (so you can't have 3 ranks in a skill. Max is 2)

Your base attack increases by +1, so add +1 to ALL of your attack rolls (this means your flurry of blows no longer has a -1 penalty), your CMB, and your CMD

Your Saves (Fort, Reflex, Will) all increase by +1.

You gain Evasion, the feat, for free. In addition, you gain a Bonus Feat from the monk feat list.

I will likely need to procure more assistance when the time actually comes to level up.  I imagine there is a way to update everything in PCGen.

Oh, yeah, Tick is your guy for that. I can obviously update your statblock in Herolab, too, once you've decided what you want to do.

It looks like if I take a full round to line up my attack, I don't have to roll to hit the door.  So then I just roll damage.

No reason not to Power Attack, so its 2d6+9.  I'll break through a wooden door automatically on that (min damage of 11).

So whenever everyone is ready, lets have Owen cut the door down with his sword.

(assuming I read the rules correctly)

If its not a simple wooden door, here's my roll:

Rolled 2d6+9 : 5, 5 + 9, total 19

I imagine that, softened up by an acid orb, the door will get split open.  Will write up what you see...shortly.

Looks like Owen's at 10hp after the goblins.  Can't wait for him to get Lay on Hands at level 2.  Until then I think Faraway's single usage of CLW's is our only healing.  We may want to invest in some wands or potions.

OH, I actually don't have that since we have an Oracle now. Jeddy can spontaneously cast it.
