SpamHead

SteveRogers

I assumed SpamHead was wanting to use a spell of some variety.

Phil

Elemental Ray would seem the most likely.

TheTick

That does make the most sense, just want to make sure I didn't miss/forget a conversation about gear somewhere.  I'll go with that unless otherwise specified.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

SteveRogers

Now you fear [his] arctic blast!

Porteiro

SpamHead is off at school right now.  I'm going to call it and say that he was wanting to use his elemental blast.  If I'm wrong, he can get mad at me. :)

TheTick

It's what I assumed as well.

I think I'm going to grab Cleave as soon as I can, just to give some decision to my turns.  There's lots I like about this system, but low level melee builds like mine are pretty much on auto-pilot in combat.

Let me know if we see Gutwad, then I can break out my Smite Evil at least :).

TheTick

Be careful what you wish for...

A glorious death in battle doesn't sound so bad, bring him on!  ;)

Kind of interesting to think of it from a paladin's perspective.  He has perfect knowledge that his deity exists and that he's in good standing with her.  So death is an automatic trip to a happy land of puppies and flowers for eternity...

TheTick

Maybe that's where the fear immunity comes from.

Yeah, definitely.

As an atheist in real life, I wonder if that's part of my draw to play paladins.  If I was in a world where deities had tangible effects on the world and give you friggen super-powers if they like you, I'd totally be religious!

elemental ray yes. It is the only other offensive non 0-level spell is summon monster and uses an entirely different spell's/day then the ray. (I don't know how to roll damage for it I think I add charisma mod but not sure)

There is some psychological research into the idea of using gaming as a means to explore a different self.  Wrote a meta-analysis on some of that research awhile back.

Do I get crits with my ray? I think I do and if so , is it on a 20 or 19-20?  (I assume it is x2 if I crit)

Because I think I need a confirm critical roll!

This dice roll has been tampered with!
Confirm Critical = 1d20+2 : 9 + 2 = 11

I assume this means no critical... *sigh*
