Also, it seems like if you can cast spells you should automatically choose Spellcaster.  It's way overpowered  ???.

Yeah, Spellcaster is awesome, probably cause thay wanted Spellcasters be useful a little. Trader will be useful for when we get to towns.

Does the caravan have 'Lucky Caravan' feat? If not we do not have the 'roll twice once week' ability.

Phil

The "Fortune-teller" write-up in the jobs section doesn't say we need that feat.  Odd that the same mechanic is described there.  It could mean we get it twice, or it could be a mistake.

SpamHead

The feat says fortune-teller is required and nothing implies a twice per week.

Lotofsnow

Fortuneteller lets you roll twice, which means you decide before your roll anything.

Lucky lets you reroll a result, which means it is after your initially rolled.

That's the difference.

SpamHead

No they both say "roll twice and take the better result", they are not different.

That's weird. The text says that, but the box says:

Lucky Caravan  Fortune-teller's wagon  Caravan can reroll Attack, Security, or Resolve once per week

Which is entirely different.

Phil

Yeah, I'm not getting that from the text either (the reroll).  But the write-up for Fortune-teller doesn't say that the feat is required.  And none of the other job descriptions seem to require additional feats to get the stated benefit of the job text.

I am betting it was an error by the guide-writers.  Edit:  Probably the error is to not have it written like is in the summary of the feat that Lotofsnow is referencing.

I can check it out when I get home - I am in the office (when I didn't need to be, grr) and won't be at a normal computer until later tonight.  That goes for making Chu do stuff too, by the way.

Is the same servant going to be looking for S'Vith?

Yeah, I'll be Deadpooling tonight, so no posts from me in the evening.

Phil

I have no idea what "deadpooling" is referring to.  Which surprises me.  I'm guessing from context that it means you are working a night shift?

The Falchion is actually a better weapon than a Greatsword for a paladin once his Smite Evil starts doing decent bonus damage, since its multiplied on a crit.  But I'll decide about that choice when it becomes relevant, I suppose.  They are both basically "big swords", so its not something I care overly much about, fluff wise.  One just has a little curve to it.

So I'd imagine that if it comes time when we're buying magical weapons, I'll probably spring for a falchion.  Otherwise, who knows what weapons we'll find on the way.  Owen could end up with a Nodachi or something, which I wouldn't mind a bit.

I believe he plays the merc with the mouth in a Marvel RPG game in real life. ;)

Deadpool is a Marvel comics superantihero/villain who I play in Marvel Heroic RPG in my face to face game on Thursday nights.

Phil

Cool.  Yeah I'm familiar with Deadpool, and probably own a dozen or more comic books he makes an appearance in :).  I just couldn't figure out how to make it a verb...

Playing Deadpool would be kind of hard, with all the wise-cracking.  But I guess he throws out some clunkers himself.
