I'm using 5.17.20, and I can't choose Aasimar as a race.  What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, they don't have the alternate races in there.  Do this, stat it as human, put the 'bonus' +2 in Wisdom, then go to the Template tab and add a +2 inherent Cha bonus.  We'll just manually add the other abilities...that'll at least let things calculate right that depend on the stat bonuses.  Just keep an eye on the Favored Class bonuses on the SRD, will probably have to do that manually too.  Or if there's another builder that has that race that works too.

Yeah, if you want, you can just list the stuff you want and I can plug it into Hero Lab and export a pdf and statblock.

Horcrust's connection is like this: he is near the town and enjoying a fine summer day when he is hit by a goblin arrow. He is quickly overrun by the raid, thankfully the town militia was nearby and Shalelu saved him and helped defeat the goblins.

Porteiro

Well, in that case, I'll just do it manually. :)

Hey Lotofsnow I think the sheet is finished (of course I can't be too sure) so I think I'll take you up on that offer for the statblock. And I am very grateful.

Ok, cool. A couple things though before I create it:

1. You have Arcane listed as your bloodline, but you have the Elemental Ray power listed, too, which is from the Elemental bloodline. Which one did you pick? My bad, misread the feature. However, which element did you choose: air, earth, fire or water?
2. You still have 3 feats listed. As a human, you actually start with only 2.
3. You can know an additional 1st level spell. Sleep is generally useful. Color Spray is fun, too.
4. Diplomacy and Stealth aren't class skills for you, so you don't get the +4 bump for being trained in them. Each rank only gives you a +1. So, with your Stealthy feat that means your Stealth will only be +5 (2 Dex + 2 Feat + 1 Rank). Diplomacy would be +5 as well (4 Cha + 1 Rank).
5. Your Will save is lower than it should be. Sorcerers get +2 to Will at 1st level.

I'll hold off on making the statblock.

This is what I have so far.

Edit:

Feedback would be appreciated.  I want to bang out the character sheet before I start looking at backstory stuff.

TheTick

Think you've got more than the 25 point buy going on, which means you may have used the regular dnd counter.  You may also want to look at this Monk guide, which postulates that strength should be more important.

I honestly just used the stat distribution Phil suggested in the other thread.

Lotofsnow

I think you have an extra feat going on, too, SteveRogers. By my count, you have 3 at first level: Dodge, Improved Grab and Toughness. You get 1 for being first level and a bonus feat from your first level of Monk. If you were human, you'd have another bonus feat, but you're a dwarf.

However, on the bright side, I also think you have one more skill point.

SteveRogers

Heh.  I'll have to fiddle with PCGen.  It told me I needed to pick the one more feat but didn't allocate me anymore skill points.

Lotofsnow

Weird. PCGen can be wonky sometime. But, it is awesome to have if you can get it to work.
