Imfei does not speak, lest she scream with pain, but strikes at the interloper with her longsword.

Grimacing in pain, Imfei delivers a deft slash to the pirate who struck her, hurting him badly.  He's barely standing at this point.

Seeing his comrades dropping, the pirate who came out of the western tent (5) moves towards Taggart, brandishing his cutlass menacingly.

Bigsby is up next.  I need Listen and Spot checks from both Bigsby and Taggart.

Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Bigsby eyes the battlefield.  The other combatants are far out of his range.  He pauses for a moment to take in his surroundings.

Imfei clenches her teeth and bleeds defiantly.

Yiki grunts suddenly in his sleep. His breathing quickens, the inhales accentuated by snorts. Finally, he relaxes and emits a contended sigh.

(I rolled for Taggart)
Bigsby catches some movement out of the corner of his eye - and turns towards Taggart just in time to see a humanoid shape diving behind some bushes.  Taggart, for his part, hears the bushes rustle but is a bit too distracted by the enemy in front to turn and investigate.

Bigsby is still up.  Do you investigate, try and wake Yiki, something else...?  :D

Bigsby turns and mutters to himself, "Aye, friends first, mystery later.  I mus' try to wake Yiki or else we'll none get ou' o' here."

Bigsby silently moves across the battlefield to Yiki and harshly slaps his face to wake him.

TheTick

Yiki wakes with a start, and clenches a fist to strike back when he realizes what happened.

The pirate captain, seeing Imfei occupied, steps south and east, and throws an object of some type at Yiki.  It whizzes past the prone Half-Orc and explodes in a sticky mess just to his left. (missed with a tanglefoot bag)

Taggart tries to yell a warning to Bigsby as the humanoid shape reveals itself - a Dwarf, and unfortunately he has a crossbow already trained at Bigsby.  The bolt lances forth and hits the gnome in the chest, and he feels it crack ribs.  His next breath is a struggle, but he manages to stay upright.  (HIT, -8hp, only 2 left)

Taggart drops his bow and draws his sword, and with a single vicious swing destroys the opponent in front of him. (HIT, -9hp, DEAD)  The pirate falls with a satisfying THUD.  Imfei is not so lucky.  The pirate she is engaged gets inside her defenses with a sweeping strike with his cutlass, hurting her badly. (HIT, -6hp)

Yiki and Imfei are up.  Only change to the map is P5 is dead.  Imfei is lucky, that pirate rolled a critical hit but didn't confirm.

Lotofsnow

Yiki leaps to his feet, scooping up his ax in the process.

Take cover, you fool, he growls at the wounded halfing adjacent to him. However, the word "fool" is extended into a roar as the barbarian, red with fury, is carried via a mighty, two-handed swing of his half-moon blade at the pirate captain.

The pirate lass had no chance - Yiki's axehead crushes her into the ground, without enough time to even make a surprised gurgle.
