pooka, your sword wouldn't be long enough to make a difference as far as any potential trap goes, so since Taggart is willing to take the risk, he can open it.

Couple of you came super-close to finding that trap but didn't.  The headband - I'll give you this for free - is a 'headband of stout intellect', which bumps your will save up by 1.  Also, a leather headband with studs is SO METAL.

As far as magic, well, Zedric is mostly tapped out.  Would need a good 8 hr rest to recover spells.  Of course, you don't know what else is here...

The northern passage is wide enough for you to walk 2 by 2, if you wish to explore and further secure your shelter.

Because of my character's backstory, it should be clear that he is going to save the world.  And to do so, he needs at least 12 pearls, not just ordanary pearls.  did this chest I just opened have some ryther pearls?

Just plain ordinary pearls.  For the sake of simplicity, if Yiki is using the headband, Taggart and Imfei can each have a pearl, and Nighthawk can take the gold.  If no one else has anything they want to do and say in here, we can move on.
