:D  I always mess this up, even when I'm playing myself.  Do you want to try to sneak closer, or just abandon all pretense of stealth and charge in for the attack?  Starting normal initiative combat.  Everyone can go ahead and roll their initiative checks either way.

Lotofsnow

I kind of just want to start fighting these guys.

TheTick

I will try and resolve all this when I get home tonight - I'll roll initiative for anyone who's not able to by then, get the order set, and we'll throw down.

One final Yiki clarification - is he going to move the 45 ft and then try and charge in the first 'real' round, or delay and charge straight from where he is once combat proper starts?  Just want the fullest picture I have for when I write this up.

Lotofsnow

Makes sense if I move first. So, he'll move his speed closer.

SteveRogers

"You can move your speed and do that as a standard action."

Not entirely sure what you mean by move my speed?

TheTick

In a normal round, you have a 'move' action and a 'standard' action.  That gives you the ability to move and attack, or move and do something else that's a standard action (like your song).  You can move twice your speed by giving up that standard action.  Your speed is 20ft, BTW.

SteveRogers

So, the suggestion is I just move this turn and then use inspire courage next turn?

TheTick

You can move 40ft, move 20ft + Inspire Courage, move 20ft and do a single attack, move 20ft and cast a (standard action casting time) spell.

I won't be in range to help Yiki if I only move 20 ft though, will I?  So, I would have to move the 40 ft first.

TheTick

I think you'd be alright with 20ft - bardic music doesn't have a set range, you just have to be 'within earshot'.  30ft away-ish should work, that's if you move 20ft 'up'.  But if you want to stick closer to him and move 40 instead, that works too.

SteveRogers

I would probably be in the way of his rage if I got too close.

Lotofsnow

Well, they are going to move around anyway, probably, so I won't be able to charge.

SteveRogers

Did I write that up more or less correctly?
