I'm fairly certain Starbucks is the Devil.  I've only tried the coffee once, but it was so vile I tossed it in the trash before I left the building.

But it consistently tastes like that.

I'm not a big fan of black coffee, but the more enjoyable parts of dissertation writing were all at the coffee shop attached to Purdue's football stadium that sold Starbucks products. Ahhh, grande sugar-free mocha haze.

Drippy wet day.  I hope my wife and child are safe on the road, people are freaking here.

It's just rain, darnit!

Big storm tonight, lot's of work here today.

rivka, I had no idea you were a pod person.  But my question is, why don't you just add those flavors to freshly ground goodness?

Pod coffee makes me uneasy.  It's like Invasion of the Coffee Snatchers.

Many people have suspected for a long time.

Way too much mess and bother. Before I wooted my pod-coffeemaker, I mostly drank coffee made from these

Still do on occasion.

Little coffee with your sugar? :D

Foggy.  The "huge storm" expected this weekend turned out to be a lot of wind and a little rain.  Clearing through the week.  Something's on the horizon, but we're not sure how strong it will be.

Flakestorm in the office. I had to iterate my disappointment with those who do not live up to the responsibilities they know are theirs.

Precisely. :)

IMO, black coffee is toxic sludge, and must be treated with adequate quantities of milk (steamed or otherwise warmed) and sugar to be safe for human contact.

Up to 10 inches of snow today, just great.
Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception!

Well, after that, I won't comment on our exterior weather today.

Someone left one thermostat in the back on, causing part of the heating system to work all night.  :x

They're sending me a replacement non-decaf, but they're not bothering to have me return the decaf.

Now what do I do with it?

I have over a dozen just sitting in my garage, from the good ol' days.  You a righty or lefty?  I'll just ship you one.

I can drink the General Foods Ersatz Coffees, but I don't consider it to be coffee.  It is more akin to hot cocoa.

I love when I get to make the coffee at work.  I fill the carafe with water (12 cups, but I think they count a cup as 6 oz.  What's up with that?)  I put one 10-oz cupful of ground coffee in the filter in the basket, tamp it down a bit, then add 30-45 cc's more.  The coffee comes out nice and thick and black.  Mmm!  A cup or two of that and I'm bouncing around the place.
