I've come here a bunch of times to move things along but it's always been when I'm totally exhausted.  Work has been a nightmare, and my sleep has been worse.  Hang on, guys.

As I experience my early/mid thirties, I'm finding that the primary limiting factor in various areas of my life has consistently been my energy level.  It affects my PBP efforts in an especially big way.  When I'm feeling tired, I just cannot make an RP post of any significant effort.   And I find myself feeling tired a lot these days.

So certainly no problem empathizing with your situation from my end.  Here's to hoping your work situation improves.

Her wounds mended, and back in her armor, Felicity awaits the answer to Bashir's question.  She isn't as familiar with Bellis as her brother, and does not know this gnome.

I figure Felicity's participation is a given, Elyn need not even ask.

Quote"Aye, he knelt here and watched us.  Good eyes.  But I don't see any footsteps away."

"Gnomes have light steps, but to confound both of us seems unlikely.  I must assume the creature is capable of flight.  Or some other magics to conceal his direction."  The ranger kicks a tree branch in frustration.

Felicity collects herself and then turns to Elyn.

"Brother...  I am truly sorry that this misfortune has beset your wedding day.  If this foul gnome cannot be pursued, we should see to Kailah and the other guests.  And perhaps someone knows where he lives."

Quote"Felicity, are you alright?"

Before answering, Felicity checks herself over.  She'd managed to dodge the whip lashes, but the bee stings on her neck still throb painfully, as does her side where the thorn struck her.  The wound seems shallow, but a fair amount of blood has run down from it.

"I am fine, brother, though the dress is a lost cause."

The ranger looks around.

"I assume that the gnome has fled?  Which way did he go?"

Felicity intends to follow his tracks, using Survival (+15) and a bonus if the terrain ends up being her favored forest terrain.

Having done 43 damage plus whatever fire vulnerability they've got, I honestly wasn't expecting either of them to still be alive.  Unless their AC is high enough that one or more of those arrows missed.

Finally feeling some breathing room, Felicity fires off a series of arrows in rapid succession.

Doing both Rapid Shot and Deadly Aim with a full attack action.  First B, then C if B is killed.

Some decent damage rolls, hopefully I killed the thing.  I used "deadly aim" in the math, but don't want to edit my post to specify that so as not to screw up the roll tag.

Having evaded the whip strike, Felcity dodges back once more to launch an arrow at the tree-thing.

Is there anywhere for Felicity to 5ft step to to get out of melee range?

I hate to ask that each round, but from the map it seems like maybe there would be, depending on where we all might be standing.  Could make a difference.

Though I could probably just stand where I am and take a full round action to get off my three bow shots, opportunity attack be damned...  Will need to check the rules.

I don't see why not, for a Small one.  It's a full round to cast, but could be helpful in later rounds.

Felicity jumps back and lets loose a flaming arrow at the nearest Spriggan.  She aims for the creature's big bulging eye.

As an archer, I'm feeling a little helpless without a map of what "squares" are threatened.  Is there sufficient room for Felicity be able to take a 5ft step out of their range and shoot some arrows?

Felicity is impressed when the ball of flame skatters the bees.  Crazy or not, the cleric is not without skill.  The bees were mostly a nuisance, but could have hurt many if left unchecked.

She's not entirely taken aback when the gnome begins his rant.  She'd expected some magic user to have been behind the swarm attack.  Felicity knocks an arrow as the gnome makes his speech.  After the thorn wall envelopes her, the half-elf considers the strange creatures now in front of her.

What manner of enemy is this?

I'm guessing Woodland Stride doesn't help me with this thorn wall.

And presumably I don't have the line of site to shoot at the Spriggans or Tenzekil?

If both of these are true, I may need suggestions as to Felicity's options.  A climb check to get over the wall, perhaps?

Fireball should be nice for fighting swarms.  Though if you only have one usage of it today, maybe we should try and get the two swarms next to eachother so both are hit?

(Maybe they already are, would need to review the IC thread.)
